I found Fevziu’s biography absolutely fascinating both as a overview history of post-war Albania and as a portrait of Hoxha himself. No doubt Albania, like any other country, wears vestiges of its past. A History, by Philipp Ther, tr. Stalin’s purges hit the military and Hoxha purges the educated.
